the Account of the Treasurer of Hong Kong

As certified thereon, the above mentioned
Account, together with the Statements of Assets
and Liabilities on the 31st of December, 1933,
has been examined under my directions.
2. The questions which arose in the course
of examination have been satisfactorily settled,
as far as possible, but a few points are still
awaiting final settlement.
3. The Statements of Assets and Liabilities
at the 31st of December, 1933, records as an
asset the balance of the Unallocated Stores
Suspense Account of the Railway as $187,916.81 which is $12,916.81 in excess of the authorised
standard stock of $175,000.00. I understand,
however, that the covering sanction of the
Secretary of State for this excess has been
obtained.
4. With reference to paragraph 4 of
my report on the accounts for the year 1932, I am
informed by the Auditor that in dealing with the appreciation of Sterling Securities under
